Malcolm Robinson - Carver

Malcolm Robinson Jr. of Beach Haven, NJ is the great, great, grandson of legendary decoy carver Harry V. Shourds (1861-1920) A life long resident of Beach Haven, Malcolm Robinson honed his carving techniques watching Herb Miller of Ship Bottom, Gary Giberson of Port Republic and Bill Scrimmer of Beach Haven. Today, he is known for his award winning Barnegat Bay style decoys and his antiqued shorebirds. Malcolm Robinson is a founding member of the Tuckerton Seaport/ Barnegat Bay Decoy and Baymen’s Museum, and he is the founder of the Seaport Carver’s Club. A regular demonstrator at the Tuckerton Seaport, Malcolm Robinson is also the instructor for the Seaport’s popular antique shorebird classes.
